Hailing from the Chicagoland area, Marissa Cohen is a graduate of Herron School of Art & Design, with a B.F.A. in Illustration and Visual-Communication Design. Currently, her focus is on observational drawing and comics. She still holds her pencil in a fist because she was "incredibly defiant" in elementary school and her mother told her teachers to “just leave her be.”
